Each Day Is A New Challenge
I regularly check in with my techs here at Roger's Plumbing about how their day went and what they encountered on the job. And a lot of what I hear from my guys makes me proud to have them as a part of my team.
For instance, we had a new client who had just moved to town from out of state. We were called out for a rush job on the same day that they were moving in. Everybody was anxious, as we wanted to get the repair done before the movers got there with all of their belongings. Well, it just so happened that the movers showed up while we were still there but they encountered a problem: they were unable to get the moving truck up the winding driveway due to overgrown tree limbs that were blocking the oversized truck. My team was quick to help find a solution to this problem, even though it was not plumbing related. We stood on top of our trucks and began trimming these limbs down so that the movers could eventually make their way up the driveway. The homeowners (and the moving company) were astounded and grateful that we offered to pitch in to solve this dilemma.
Going The Extra Mile
While this is a situation that is far from everyday, I encourage our team members to always look for opportunities to go out of their way to do special things – not to garner thanks from the client, but just because we can. Whether it is bringing trash cans up to the house, carrying in newspapers or even helping with groceries, we feel that customer service and care reaches far beyond our plumbing repairs.
